smoke number of a flue gas sample. Flue gas is taken from an
opening in the flue pipe and drawn through the smoke test paper
mounted in the tester. Comparison of the test paper with the
smoke scale determines the smoke scale number. The clear
polycarbonate barrel will not dent and will not corrode like
other testers.
